   A Harbor House Program in Partnership with Oceanus Institute & The Southwest Harbor Fleet

Our mission is to provide, with the use of center's boats, access to sailing and instruction to the general public at an affordable rate.
 

Operating out of a newly renovated space at the Southwest Boat Corp on Clark Point Road in Southwest Harbor, Maine, the MDI Community Sailing Center offers a variety of programs for novice and experienced sailors alike.

From May 15 to December 15 we offer several learn to sail programs, including a Women's Only class and a Juniors program for kids ages 7 and up. During the winter months we offer a variety of marine related indoor education. Members have use of the Sailing Center's boats by reservation, reduced rates for lessons and opportunities to race.
